Do you want to make a real difference for children and young people – in an organization that dares to develop?

Here, you will have the opportunity to work with one of society's most important missions – contributing to safety, development, and hope for the future for children and young people. We are now looking for two dedicated social secretaries (social workers) within investigations to join our unit. This recruitment coincides with colleagues moving to new internal roles and others being on parental leave, offering you the chance to become part of a business where development, competence, and engagement are valued.

We are on an exciting development journey where we are collectively preparing our operations for the future social services. With courage, innovative thinking, and trust in people's abilities, we work to create sustainable solutions close to the daily lives of children and families. We believe in individuals' potential to grow and develop, and we believe in the power of teamwork.

About the workplace

We are part of the ongoing transition to the future social services and work municipality-wide to strengthen preventive work and create more opportunities to meet the needs of children and families locally. Together, we are building a social service that is more accessible, evidence-based, and close to the residents.

Here, you will meet an open and trusting work climate where engagement, participation, and professional development are in focus. We see learning as a natural part of the work and want to be a brave organization that dares to try new paths when it benefits children and families. Through regular case reviews, group meetings, and collegial supervision, we create conditions for quality, security, and continuous development. No one is alone in their mission here – we are a team that supports, learns from each other, and takes joint responsibility for the development of the operations.

Your assignment

As a social secretary, you will meet children, young people, and their guardians during important stages of life. You are responsible for investigating and assessing interventions based on the child's needs and rights. Through professional assessments and respectful treatment, you contribute to ensuring that children and young people receive the support, protection, and opportunities they need to develop.

In this role, you will work with:

  • Investigations according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act with Special Provisions on Care of Young Persons (LVU).
  • Collaboration with guardians, schools, healthcare providers, and other partners.
  • Documentation and case handling in the business system Combine.
  • A structured working method supported by BBIC (Barns behov i centrum / Children's Needs in Focus).

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

  • Are educated as a social worker (socionom).
  • Have good knowledge of current legislation and regulations in the field, especially the Social Services Act.
  • Have a valid driver's license (Category B).
  • Have good computer skills.

Experience of authority exercise within the social services area is meritorious, but we also welcome those who are new to the profession and have the right engagement and desire to develop.

To thrive and succeed in the role, we believe you:

  • Find it easy to collaborate and contribute to good relationships with colleagues and partners.
  • Are secure, stable, and able to make well-founded decisions even in complex situations.
  • Work in a structured manner, plan and prioritize your work, and meet set deadlines.
  • Are proactive and communicative, with the ability to build trust with children, young people, and adults.
  • Have a professional approach and a genuine commitment to the target group.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

What we offer

Here, you will have meaningful work where you contribute every day to strengthening the living conditions of children and young people. You will become part of a learning organization characterized by courage, collaboration, and a desire to develop.

By utilizing competence, experiences, and ideas, we develop our operations together. You will receive close support from colleagues and management while having the opportunity to help shape the future social services.

We apply individual salary setting and offer benefits that contribute to our employees' health, well-being, and work-life balance. Read more about our benefits here (https://tranas.se/arbete-och-naringsliv/arbeta-i-tranas-kommun/formaner/).
