Statens institutionsstyrelse (SiS) is a government agency responsible for providing individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also operates closed youth care facilities. We do this through youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse problems across the country. Working at SiS offers you a thrilling challenge. SiS LVM-hem Hessleby, located in a beautiful forest setting just outside Mariannelund, admits men with alcohol, drug, or combined substance abuse issues. We have specialized competence in receiving clients with mental health issues or challenging behaviors. Our mission is to provide care for clients with special care needs.
Job Description
Do you want to be part of creating life-changing change for vulnerable people? Then the role of Treatment Pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a Treatment Pedagogue, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that the young people and clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often encounter people in crisis, which means you will work with qualified nursing and motivational work, as well as providing support in daily life. Using your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the implementation of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your job, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You ensure that safety is maintained according to our procedures and help ensure that daily life runs smoothly with school attendance, cleaning, cooking, etc. Contact person responsibilities are also part of your duties. The role may also involve mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you if you see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
Qualifications
To succeed in your work, you have a firmly grounded positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core value of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our young people. As a person, you are self-assured and easily build relationships with young people as well as with other staff members. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You collaborate easily with others and can handle conflicts in a constructive manner.
You must also have:
- A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or university college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work, or a university education that we assess as equivalent.
- A valid B driver's license.
- Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Employment:
The position is a full-time temporary assignment until 2027-05-16, with the possibility of extension. Start date by agreement.
