Description
Värnamo is a municipality with just over 34,000 inhabitants. The Citizen Administration is one of the municipality's eight departments and is currently seeking a Coordinator. The Citizen Administration consists of six sections, one of which is Employment and Social Services. Within Employment and Social Services, there are units for Economic Assistance and the Labor Market Unit, which also includes integration. The integration unit is responsible for settling newly arrived immigrants and providing support for their integration into Swedish society. There are 30 employees in the section, including one unit manager, two team leaders, 12 coordinators, and 15 social secretaries.
Responsibilities
As a Coordinator at the Labor Market Unit, your main responsibility is to design a meaningful action plan together with participants that leads to employment, studies, or adequate income. We work based on Supported Employment, which is a structured method where you, as a coordinator, provide close support to both participants and employers in the process of finding, obtaining, and retaining a job. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues within the section and administration. You also collaborate extensively with other work groups and actors, both internally and externally. The role includes having primary responsibility for one or more of our initiatives at the Labor Market Unit. Examples of initiatives include job search and housing search courses, work training, internship coordination, settling newly arrived immigrants, and counseling regarding employment support. As a new employee, you will go through our introduction program and have support from a mentor and colleagues. The section is facing legislative changes regarding activity requirements from July 1st, which may involve changes in working methods.
Qualifications
You need a university-level education, such as an occupational therapist, social worker, or behavioral scientist. Experience with Supported Employment is an advantage.

You enjoy variety in your work, are flexible and independent in planning your work, and have good collaboration skills. You have good verbal and written communication skills. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
The positions will be appointed subject to necessary decisions being made.
Conditions
A valid driver's license is required.
