RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to make a real difference and have a commitment to young people? Take the chance and apply to be a support family under the LSS (Law on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) for a teenager in their early teens! As a support family, you open your home for a predetermined number of days per month. Together with the custodial parents, you plan which days work best. At your home, the young person receives security, community, and fun activities tailored to their needs, wishes, and conditions. You also become an important support for the custodial parents in the form of respite care – an extra resource that makes a real difference.
QUALIFICATIONS
As a support family, it is important that you have a stable daily life. The assignment primarily involves creating a secure and trusting relationship. This is achieved by offering structure in a pressure-free manner, listening and meeting with empathy, remaining calm, showing patience, and keeping your promises.
The assignment also requires dedicating time. Continuity is crucial for the assignment to succeed. Therefore, it is important to accept the assignment with the goal of staying involved over a longer perspective.
OTHER INFORMATION
Regarding compensation, cost reimbursement and an honorarium are paid based on SKR (Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions) guidelines and the final assessment of Mullsjö Municipality. There is also the possibility of receiving supervision and regular check-ins to provide support in carrying out the assignment.
The custodial parent or another relative is responsible for drop-off and pick-up at your home as the support family. They are also responsible for providing pocket money for activities such as entry fees, cinema, or similar.

Requirements:
Category B driver's license.
To qualify for the assignment as a support family, an investigation is conducted where information about your various life areas is gathered. References and extracts from various registers, such as the criminal record register, are also requested. Preference is given if you live in or near Mullsjö. Experience with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) diagnoses acquired through work or other relevant means is meritorious. Great importance is placed on personal qualities.
You should function well in cooperation with the Social Services as the employer and have the ability for transparent and constructive communication and coordination with custodial parents, as well as working towards agreed goals.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Start date: 2026-07-31, End date: 2027-01-29.

Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Alien Ordinance.
