The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually tailored involuntary care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse problems. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse issues across the country. Working at SiS turns your professional life into an exciting challenge. Regardless of where you work within our organization or what position you hold, you help create life-changing change.
SiS Youth Home Långanäs receives non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial problems, criminality, and substance abuse.
Job Description
Do you want to be part of creating life-changing changes for vulnerable people? Then the job as a Treatment Assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge.
As a Treatment Assistant, you work in a team together with treatment educators and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the young people (non-compulsory school-age boys) living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need.
We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified nursing and motivational work and act as a support in daily life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the fulfillment of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your job and contributes to legal certainty, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our procedures and help ensure that daily life flows smoothly with school attendance, cleaning, cooking, etc. Contact person duties are also one of your tasks. The job may also involve mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.
Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our approach, our commitment, and our attitude.
