The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also operates closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse, across the country. Working with us at SiS turns your professional life into an exciting challenge. No matter where you work in our organization or what position you hold, you help create life-changing change.
SiS Youth Home Långanäs receives boys who are not subject to compulsory schooling and who have psychosocial problems, criminal behavior, and substance abuse.
Job Description
Do you want to be part of creating life-changing change for vulnerable people? Then the job as a Treatment Pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a Treatment Pedagogue, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the young people (non-compulsory school-age boys) living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified nursing and motivational work and act as a support in daily life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the implementation of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes to legal certainty, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines and help ensure that daily life runs smoothly with school attendance, cleaning, cooking, etc. Contact person duties are also part of your responsibilities. The job may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.
Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our approach, our engagement, and our attitude.
