Job Description

As a Social Secretary within Economic Assistance, you handle cases related to economic assistance and work on processes aimed at helping people become self-sufficient. The department collaborates closely with the municipality's labor market department, the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen), healthcare providers, and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan). We work with Motivational Interviewing (MI) and use the MIX model for investigations.

The work is varied as we encounter different forms of social issues, and it is also developmental as you support individuals in vulnerable situations. In our work towards the goal of individual self-sufficiency, we start from each individual's prerequisites. Together with the client, we strive to create processes through dialogue where the person gains insight into their resources and conditions. We work with continuous improvement to become an organization that adapts to the needs of our clients. This includes developing and changing our working methods to free up time for active client work.

Qualifications

The requirement for the position is that you have a degree in Social Work (Socionom).

Experience of working within economic assistance as well as investigative work within budget-controlled operations is required. We consider it an advantage if you have experience collaborating with other actors such as the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and the Region. Experience with the business system Pulsen Combine and MI (Motivational Interviewing) is an advantage.

As a person, you are organized, responsible, methodical, and meticulous in your thinking and work. You are good at planning and keeping things in order; you simply thrive with a plan, executing it, and meeting deadlines.

You are able and willing to adapt to new working methods. Collaborating with others adds value to you, as collaboration implies good communication, security, and a shared goal.

As a person, you quickly find solutions to emerging problems. You see opportunities and have a resilience that is clear and recognizable.

A valid driver's license (Category B) is required for the position.
