At Borbackaskola, we are looking for you who are driven by challenges, joy, and good collaboration. Our school is a grades 1-6 school with approximately 150 students in the eastern part of Värnamo town. The school, located in the heart of the community of Bor, was built in 1959 and renovated in 1997 to provide bright and functional premises. Adjacent to Borbackaskola is the after-school center Gårdshuset and the lower secondary school Bors skola. The principal's area also includes Gällaryd and Tånnö schools.

The working atmosphere at the school is good, and we strive for good cooperation within and between our operations. Everyone at the school, staff and students alike, should reach their full potential and contribute to a good social and pedagogical work environment.

We are looking for a social pedagogue who is passionate about working with primary school students and supporting their social and emotional development. Job Responsibilities

As a social pedagogue at Borbacka School, you will work in close collaboration with students, teachers, and parents to promote students' social and emotional well-being, both at school and during leisure time. In your role, you will collaborate closely with the student health team and the school counselor. You will provide individual and group-based support to students and groups who need help managing various challenges, both in school and in social life. Collaboration with Gällaryd and Tånnö schools will also be relevant.

The work involves:

• Providing support and guidance to students on social and emotional issues.
• Working preventively to create a safe school environment for all students.
• Collaborating with school staff to develop students' social skills.
• Maintaining close contact with parents and other actors when necessary.
• Being involved in the school's work with student health and preventive measures.
• Conducting supervision, operational development, and student health work based on our students' needs.

Qualifications

• Education as a social pedagogue or other education relevant to the assignment.
• Experience working with children and young people, preferably within schools or after-school activities.
• Good ability to build trusting relationships with students and adults.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to work solution-focused in challenging situations.
• Experience working in teams and being part of the school's student health team.

It is important that you as a person are creative, flexible, clear, and responsive, and have a genuine desire to make a difference in students' lives. You have the ability to see possibilities in pedagogical work and have good teamwork skills. You create good relationships with students and colleagues and view guardians as valuable partners in students' development. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Conditions

We conduct continuous selection and interviews. The position will be filled subject to necessary decisions being made.

Department of Children and Education
Our department is responsible for preschools, primary schools, upper secondary schools, adult education, and cultural schools in the municipality.
