We are looking for personal assistants for a young woman with ALS in Jönköping.

About the assignment

Our client is a young woman living with ALS. She lives in a villa in Jönköping with her husband, leading a life centered around closeness, dignity, and making the most of everyday moments.

She has previously lived an active life filled with climbing, travel, and adventures. Although her body now sets limits, her joy for life and strong will remain. She values relationships and the small golden moments in daily life, and cherishes the opportunity to continue living on her own terms.

As a personal assistant, you are her support in everyday life. You help with personal care, medication, and practical tasks at home. She manages her own assistance, which means you need to be adaptable, empathetic, and reliable. You become her extended arms and legs – but also a present and respectful fellow human being.

We are looking for you who

are a calm and stable person with a warm and secure presence. You are quick to laugh and enjoy creating a good atmosphere around you. With your sensitivity and ability to read situations, you know when it is time to step forward, and when it is more important to be still and present. You are flexible, respectful, and confident in yourself, and have no problem adapting to other people's needs and pace.

Since our client is a young woman, we prefer female applicants to create the greatest possible sense of security and well-being in daily life.

It is also important that you are not allergic to fur-bearing animals, as there is a dog in the home.

Experience in care work or knowledge of PEG, ventilators, and cough assist machines is an advantage, but not a requirement. We place the greatest emphasis on your personal qualities and how you and our client work together.

What we offer

The position is a waking night shift of approximately 30 hours per week. In addition, there is an opportunity to work extra as an hourly substitute.
