We are now looking for two qualified craft teachers (slöjd) in woodwork for grades 3-9 at Stenhammarskolan.

HERE ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Stenhammarskolan – a K-9 school where the heart beats for the students, with knowledge and development in focus – has approximately 650 students and is centrally located in Flen. Here we see differences as a strength and diversity as an asset for both students and staff. Our school should be a safe, inclusive, and inspiring place where everyone has the opportunity to develop, both academically and socially.

As a craft teacher at Stenhammarskolan, you have an independent and creative role where you are responsible for teaching wood/metal craft to students in grades 3–9. You plan, conduct, and evaluate lessons that spark students' curiosity and desire to create. Your teaching is based on the curriculum and is adapted to the students' different prerequisites and interests.

In the craft workshop, you are responsible for the practical environment – from materials and tools to safety and work order. You meet student groups of different ages and with varying prior knowledge, which requires structure, flexibility, and a solution-oriented approach. You organize the teaching so that it works both pedagogically and practically, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to develop their creativity.

As a craft teacher, you have great freedom to shape the teaching and create a creative and safe learning environment. You inspire students to try new techniques, materials, and modes of expression, and help them develop both craftsmanship and problem-solving skills. Through your commitment and pedagogical skill, you contribute to making the craft subject alive and meaningful for the students.

As a teacher at Stenhammarskolan, you are also part of a professional work team where collaboration and collegial learning are in focus. You actively contribute to the school's systematic quality work, participate in meetings and training, and work together with your colleagues to develop the teaching. Through your solution-oriented attitude and commitment, you help build a school where both students and staff thrive and develop.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:

• Teacher certification with eligibility in craft (wood and metal craft) for grades 3-9.
• Ability to plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching according to Lgr22 with clear goals and assessment.
• Ability to use digital tools in teaching.
• Good knowledge of regulatory documents, grades, and assessment.

About the position:

• Scope: Full-time, permanent (probation may apply).
• Start date: As agreed.
• Salary: Individual salary setting.
