Veingeskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) with just over 500 students and 70 employees. The school is beautifully located in nature in Veinge, north of Laholm, with proximity to both sea and forest and a view of the southern Halland agricultural land. The school was built in 1979 and underwent a major renovation and extension that was completed in late 2012.

About the Position

As a Student Resource (Elevresurs), you will follow one or more students with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) diagnoses throughout their entire school day – both in teaching and at the after-school center. You will act as a close support in learning, social contexts, and transitions between different activities.

The assignment involves creating structure, predictability, and security, as well as working with low-arousal approaches in situations that may be challenging for the student.

Are you the one we are looking for?

You must have documented knowledge about NPD diagnoses and experience working with lower-grade children with both ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD).

You should have experience handling challenging situations with a calm and professional approach.

You work relationally and situationally adapted, are clear, structured, and secure in your assignment. You have a low-arousal and inclusive approach and enjoy collaborating with teachers, after-school staff, and student health services.

In the role, you will also receive special educational needs supervision.
