Description

We are now looking for a certified special needs teacher, or with equivalent adequate education, for our committed and knowledgeable student health team at Nya Skolan.

As a special needs teacher at Nya Skolan, you are expected to be responsible, proactive, and positive. The role involves complementing learning and supporting the general development of our students, which requires both flexibility and the ability to structure. You will collaborate closely with educators, other professionals in the student health team, as well as principals. The position requires a good ability to meet differences. At Nya Skolan, we work with a central student health service.

In the role of special needs teacher, you will work both directly with students in need of support and provide special pedagogical guidance. You will work across the entire operation from preschool class to grade 9. In your work, you will help investigate needs, plan measures, and methods so that students can best benefit from the education. In your pedagogical leadership, you are clear, creative, stimulating, and secure. The work requires both flexibility and the ability to structure. The position will require that you have engagement and drive. You are passionate about the students' development and work well both in groups and independently. You have an easy time building trusting relationships. We at Nya Skolan expect you to be responsible, proactive, and positive. You see the Nya Skolan concept as the foundation in your planning and execution of your work.

We are looking for you who are a certified special needs teacher. Subject competence in Swedish, Swedish as a second language, and specialization in language, writing, and reading development are considered meritorious.

As a special needs teacher, you are part of the school's student health team, which includes the principal, deputy principal, special educator, counselor, and school nurse. We share responsibility for working promotively, preventively, and supportively for all students, as well as with targeted interventions. You, together with the special educator, are responsible for having an overview of the operation's special pedagogical needs. The student health service's task is to guide and support teachers and after-school center staff in working with students in need of special support.

As part of our student health team, you are positively inclined towards the development of the operation and the pedagogical environment. You are creative, proactive, and self-reliant, and have an easy time adapting to changed circumstances. We use ICT tools such as iPads and smartboards in our operations and in communication with students. Therefore, it is desirable that you have experience working with ICT tools.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

The Educators at Nya Skolan

Our educators work in work teams where there is a shared responsibility for all students included in the work team. When the students are at school, the educators are in operation. In the afternoons, the educator prepares, documents, and plans the operation together in their work team.

Conditions

The position is filled according to agreement.
