Ankarskolan is a modernly equipped F-9 school (grades 1-9) located in Träslövsläge, southwest of the central town of Varberg, with close proximity to the sea and nature. In the school's airy and fresh premises, there are approximately 575 students.
Ankarskolan is a successful school with good results and a high level of ambition among both staff and students. The school has a large proportion of qualified teachers and dedicated staff. The school focuses on development and has in recent years chosen to invest in a formative approach, collegial learning, and collaborative work to further develop teaching. In daily work, teachers focus on clarity and structure in teaching and communicate/inform via digital platforms.
Together with the students, we work at the school to strengthen inner motivation and an age-increased sense of responsibility. Our development plan includes an ambition to meet the future through continued teaching development to achieve our vision; Ankarskolan is a school where all students get the opportunity to develop their self-esteem, find their inner motivation, and learn to take responsibility for their own learning and their own actions. All students are offered an equal education with good quality in a stimulating and safe environment.

Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a teacher in biology, physics, chemistry, technology, and mathematics for grades 7-9. Your assignment includes planning, implementing, and analyzing varied and differentiated teaching.
The work involves working within grades 7-9 where you will be part of a small team around a grade level with good colleagues, where you together are responsible for and develop the teaching. As part of the work, this also means taking responsibility for and meeting students with special support needs.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about meeting every student where they are and who wants to develop their work together with others in order to help our students find motivation for learning and reach as far as they can. You will do this in close collaboration with your colleagues and together with the school's student health team.
As a teacher with us, you have a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment where we together create the best possible meeting for learning. By planning, implementing, and following up on your teaching, you give students the prerequisites to grow based on their unique needs and goals.
We offer a workplace where we together take responsibility for creating a sustainable work environment where both students and staff are given the prerequisites to grow.
Main responsibilities:
- Teaching in grades 7-9 in biology, physics, chemistry, technology, and mathematics.
- Plan, lead, and evaluate teaching based on steering documents and chosen didactic strategies.
- Meet each student in their knowledge progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through professional leadership.
- Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation, and student influence.
- Work for a holistic view of the student's school day through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians.

You are a secure pedagogical leader who, with warmth and clarity, provides guidance and creates the structure required for a safe learning environment. For you, collaboration with colleagues is a prerequisite for success; you collaborate without hierarchy to develop the operation together with others.
You are skilled at building relationships and create trusting contacts with both students and guardians. You have a good feel for the group, are flexible, have didactic ability, and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, knowledge progression, and daily condition.
We are looking for you who:
