Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Welcome to us

Welcome to the Finnish Preschool!

What we offer

Preschool Area 3, consisting of 11 preschools, is now looking for a Finnish-speaking childcare worker. We offer you the opportunity to develop in a wonderful environment together with dedicated colleagues. You will have an exciting and developmental assignment where you will contribute to giving the youngest Stockholmers the best possible start in life. You will become part of a competent team with a commitment to development and a focus on providing high-quality education for the children.

Your role

As a childcare worker, you contribute to ensuring that daily life at the preschool runs smoothly and that care and daily pedagogical work are based on children's participation and choices. Together with other colleagues at the preschool, you help create a positive, meaningful, and developmental environment for each child and for the entire group. In daily interactions with guardians, you are engaged, child-focused, and service-oriented.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for you who are a trained childcare worker and have documented experience working as a childcare worker. Additionally, you must have good communication skills in both Finnish and Swedish. It is an advantage if you have a vocational upper secondary education in childcare from the Child and Youth Program. Experience working with children in need of special support is also valued.

We will place special focus on the following personal qualities and skills:

  • As a person, you are engaged, flexible, and responsible.
  • Your focus on children is clear, and you have a positive attitude towards your work, your team, as well as the entire preschool and unit.
  • You have a low-affective approach (calm and composed demeanor).
  • You collaborate with children, colleagues, and parents in a responsive and efficient manner.
  • You act in accordance with decisions, the curriculum, goals, policies, and guidelines.
  • You are calm, stable, and able to focus on the right things.

The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at assessing each person's competence and thereby combating discrimination.
