The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest administrations with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation – preschool, primary school, and child and student health services – we are here for children and students – together we shape the future.

Travarens Preschool will consist of 3 departments from autumn 2026. We will start up at Travarens Preschool and in the middle of the term, we will move to Myllans Preschool (a newly renovated preschool in Breared). We work based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy with the children's needs and interests as the focus of our education.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a childcare worker with us, you are one of the children's most important adults. You ensure that their day at the preschool is both fun, safe, and educational. We offer a work environment where your competence and commitment are valued, and where you, together with your colleagues in the work team, create an environment that sees and confirms every child's potential.

Main responsibilities:

• Create a safe and inspiring daily life where every child is met with competence and warmth, and where you actively contribute to an environment where everyone feels included.
• Participate in the pedagogical work and use pedagogical documentation to follow the children's learning processes.
• Build trusting relationships with the children's guardians, where you together create the best conditions for the child's development and needs in the preschool.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are sensitive to the children's needs and have a natural ability to create security, where an inclusive approach is a matter of course so that everyone feels at home in the group.

You have good cooperation skills and enjoy contributing to a positive work team. Since the daily life at the preschool is changing, you are solution-focused and meet small and large challenges with a positive attitude and a calm confidence.

We are looking for you who:

• Have a high school education, the Child and Youth Program, or equivalent as assessed by the employer.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience working with the youngest children.
• Experience in working continuously with pedagogical documentation.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3–6 months.
