Social Secretary for Financial Assistance – Adult/LSS Unit

The Individual and Family Care department in Grums Municipality is organized into two units – one for adults/LSS (Long-term Support for Persons with Disabilities) and one for children and youth. We are now looking for an engaged social secretary within financial assistance for the Adult/LSS unit. The role involves investigating, assessing, and making decisions according to the Social Services Act. You will meet residents in various situations and support them in creating conditions for self-sufficiency and increased independence.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of social secretary, you will among other things:

• Process applications for financial assistance.
• Investigate and make decisions in accordance with current legislation.
• Plan and follow up on measures together with the client.
• Motivate and support individuals in achieving self-sufficiency.
• Collaborate with colleagues, municipal departments, and external actors such as the Swedish Public Employment Service and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or another education that the employer deems equivalent. You should have good knowledge of the Social Services Act and hold a valid driver's license (Category B). You work in a structured and legally secure manner and are accustomed to documenting clearly and professionally. Experience working with financial assistance is an advantage.

As a person, you meet people with respect, warmth, and genuine commitment. You are confident and clear in your role and have an easy time building trusting relationships, both internally and externally. You enjoy working independently while recognizing the strength in collaboration and contributing to a good work climate. You have a solution-focused approach when meeting people in various vulnerable situations.
