About the Department

The department's assignment is to offer adults guidance and education in lifelong learning. Within the department, there is also guidance and support for adults' individual development towards self-sufficiency. The department is responsible for integration and also coordinates labor market policy measures.

Within the Child and Family Group IFO, we work with family law, foster care, unaccompanied children, and open care. Our family supporters work in families with both preventive and decided measures. We have close cooperation with schools and other units working with children and young people. We have an organization to work with routines, guidelines, and legal certainty.

Description

Do you want to help develop the social services of the future?

The first-line social services work to ensure that children, young people, and families receive the right support at the right time in a simple, accessible, and safe way. The operations are characterized by a preventive and outreach approach where early interventions, close collaboration, and relationship-building methods are at the center.

We are now looking for a social worker who wants to make a difference for children and families through early support and strengthened relationships. The position involves close cooperation with the Family Center and other actors around the child and family. Together, we work to strengthen parenthood, promote mental health, and create safe upbringing conditions.

Responsibilities

In the role, you will among other things:

• Collaborate closely with the Family Center and other operations regarding children and families,
• Participate in and lead parent groups and other supportive measures,
• Be present in open operations and create safety and relationships with children, parents, and families,
• Participate in home visit programs together with Child Health Services (BVC),
• Offer guidance, counseling, and early support to families,
• Work outreach and preventively to reach families who otherwise risk not seeking support,
• Contribute to coordination between different professions and operations,
• Participate in the development of First-Line Social Services.

The work is based on a professional, trust-based, and relationship-building approach where collaboration and a holistic view are central parts.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are educated as a social worker,
• Have experience working with children, young people, and families,
• Easily create relationships and build trust,
• Are confident working independently while enjoying collaboration,
• Have a genuine interest in preventive and outreach work,
• Have good ability to structure, coordinate, and drive your work forward.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience working within Family Centers, open operations, or first-line social services,
• Experience with parenting support,
• Knowledge of mental health and early support measures,
• Experience of collaboration between social services and healthcare.

The position is fixed-term and at 100% during the employment period.
