Responsibilities

As a resource teacher, you play a very important role in the well-being of students throughout the school day. You provide support during breaks and various study situations, acting as a guide and additional adult support at the school.

You will primarily work together with the team in our special education group. Your main task will be to take responsibility for one or more students. Together with teachers, you work towards an accessible learning environment that nurtures the students' curiosity, motivation, and interests. You ensure that the student(s) have the prerequisites to participate in all school activities according to their needs.

We work with a solution-focused approach and a low-affective interaction style, where relationship-building is of great importance. The starting point for your work is the belief that everyone can succeed and that students are given the opportunity to grow, develop, and strengthen their self-confidence.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you who have completed a post-secondary education, such as a youth leader (fritidsledare) qualification.

You are an engaged, clear, responsible, and secure leader for the students, and your attitude towards the assignment should be solution-oriented. By using curiosity and creativity, you find good solutions to challenges that may arise.

You have an easy time building good relationships and keeping the student(s)' best interests in focus by supporting, stimulating, motivating, and providing the care the student(s) need. We are looking for someone who can work both independently and in collaboration with others. You take great responsibility for the entire assignment.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a resource teacher/student assistant
• Experience in similar work and with children/students with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders)
• Knowledge and experience within the later years of primary school

To work in preschools, schools, and youth and leisure activities, you must, according to the Register Control Act, provide a certificate of good conduct from the police. You must request the extract yourself from the Swedish Police Authority using the form "Extract from the Criminal Record" available in the form archive on the police website.
