About the position

In this role, you plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching in the subjects of mathematics and Natural Sciences (NO), and potentially other subjects based on your qualifications. Work at the school takes place in grade-level teams where collaboration is important; together we create accessible learning environments that benefit every student's development, learning, and sense of security. You are expected to contribute to the work team's development by actively participating in conferences and the group's competence development.

Examples of tasks:

• Plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching in the subjects you are responsible for
• Create a good environment for learning
• Support students' social development and upbringing
• Use methods and approaches that lead to the best possible goal fulfillment
• Keep up to date with current research within your field of operation
• Work and document in the operational systems available

About the workplace

Drakenbergsskolan is located in the residential area of Sörby, near Örebro University. Approximately 270 students attend the school, from preschool class to grade 6. Drakenbergsskolan's vision is: Together we create security and joy to develop and learn! On the schoolyard, we have a statue named "Tage" which stands for security, responsibility, and community. At the school, we learn a lot from each other and develop together.

Qualifications

As a teacher with us, it is important that you are a calm and stable person who contributes to a secure school environment. You work well with others and have an attentive approach where you listen and communicate; we place great emphasis on your ability to collaborate, spread joy and energy at our school. Furthermore, you have knowledge of child development and learning, as well as the ability to adapt teaching based on the group and individual students' needs and prerequisites. You are clear in your communication, ensuring that messages get through, and you take responsibility for your task and drive your processes forward. You also adapt easily to changed circumstances and can quickly change your perspective and attitude. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language to such an extent that you can communicate with students and other staff, and that you can document in writing what the operation requires.

Requirements:

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach mathematics and Natural Sciences (NO) for grades 4-6, or alternatively a degree that qualifies for teacher certification

Merits:

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach English for grades 4-6, or alternatively a degree that qualifies for teacher certification
