Licensed Craft Teacher for Kumlaby School Grades 3–6 and Adapted Primary School
Are you a licensed craft teacher passionate about teaching and creating a safe and supportive learning environment for our students? Do you want to help shape today's youth in an inspiring school setting? Kumlaby School Grades 3–6 and the Adapted Primary School are now looking for a qualified and engaged craft teacher who wants to help drive our operations forward.
Kumlaby School is located in the southern part of Kumla. The school is surrounded by beautiful outdoor areas with many opportunities for various activities. We currently share premises with Kumlaby School Grades 7–9 and Kumla's Adapted Primary School.
School Goals
Our goal is to be a developmental meeting place for all people, intellectually, culturally, and socially – a school for everyone. We offer an operation where we create good conditions for lifelong learning, and where all students learn to collaborate, take initiative, and show consideration and respect for the equal value of all individuals.
What We Offer
- A safe and good working environment where workload and planning are taken seriously.
- Pleasant and supportive colleagues with high competence.
- Close and accessible leadership.
- Opportunities for competence development and collegial learning.
- A workplace where we value engagement, responsibility, and joy in work.
The schools have a student health team that, in addition to the statutory professions, also includes a school attendance coach. The leadership consists of the principal and deputy principal, who, together with the staff, work on systematic quality work to increase goal fulfillment and a good learning environment – always with the students' best interests in focus.
Job Responsibilities
The craft teacher position includes teaching in textile crafts. As a pedagogue in our operation, you will collaborate closely with other teachers, after-school center staff, various student health professionals, leadership, and guardians as needed to create a good and safe learning environment for the students.
Qualifications
You must have a teaching license with eligibility in craft for grades 3–6 and adapted primary school grades 1–9. We are looking for you who are an educated pedagogue, who has a genuine interest in teaching, and who always has the students' best interests in focus.
As a person, you are calm, secure, and stable, and clear in your communication with both students, guardians, and colleagues. You have good collaboration skills, you listen, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way. We believe you are good at building good relationships, maintaining them over time, and adapting to changed circumstances.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Work with Adapted Primary School
The students at the adapted primary school have intellectual disabilities, and we are therefore looking for you who want to teach this target group. To offer the students individual development, we work with continuous follow-up to challenge each individual in the best possible way. This includes, among other things, conducting teaching based on both the curriculum for primary school and the adapted primary school. We focus on the students' life perspective, and our goal is to give our students useful experiences and encounters. Communication, structure, and clarity are key words in our operation.
