Wasaskolan is located near large green areas and has a newly renovated schoolyard that provides good opportunities for break and outdoor activities. The school offers bright and well-maintained premises with ample natural light as well as a new cafeteria. We also have a nice school library staffed by a trained librarian. Wasaskolan is a grades F-9 school with approximately 530 students and is also an adapted comprehensive school, which creates good opportunities for inclusion and collaboration. Here you will meet a large student health team as well as a functioning administration and maintenance department that provide good conditions for you as a teacher to focus on teaching. In total, we are approximately 80 employees who work together for the students' learning and development.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for and conduct teaching in mathematics at the lower secondary level (grades 7-9). Your closest colleagues are three other mathematics teachers who teach at the lower secondary level; you work in a multi-teacher model. You conduct teaching in an inspiring, exciting, developmental, and inclusive way with the students' development and learning in focus. The position also includes other usual teacher duties such as collegial collaboration, assessment, conferences, room care, and contact with guardians. You focus on the quality of teaching through recurring reflection and analysis of pedagogical leadership as well as goal- and result-oriented management. You are part of the working group for grades 7-9 where you support and help each other in the social work regarding students and plan towards as high goal fulfillment as possible. At the lower secondary level, we work with senior mentors who are responsible for the social work regarding the students, which gives you as a teacher the opportunity to focus on conducting and developing quality teaching.

Who are you?

Requirements:

• Degree and teacher certification in mathematics with eligibility to teach in grades 7-9 of the comprehensive school.
• You are well acquainted with the school as an organization and are familiar with assignments and steering documents.
• You have very good knowledge of the Swedish language and can conduct teaching with confidence.
