The Unit for Multilingualism and Integration (EFI) is a joint support function for all schools in Laholm Municipality. EFI is responsible for the reception and mapping of newly arrived students, mother tongue instruction, and study guidance for newly arrived students.

About the position

The work consists of mother tongue instruction in English. The teaching may take place in grades 1–9 of compulsory school, upper secondary school, as well as adapted compulsory and upper secondary school. In this role, you plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching, as well as assess and grade students. Orientation support in preschool and preschool class is included in the assignment. Study guidance for newly arrived students may be included if needed.

You collaborate and develop assignments with colleagues at EFI as well as at the schools where you teach.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and qualified in the subject of mother tongue – English.

We would appreciate it if you have experience working as a mother tongue teacher and study guide, and if you use collegial learning as a tool in your work.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish school system and its governing documents.

Meritorious is experience of mother tongue instruction and study guidance for newly arrived students.

Requirements: Category B driver’s license and own car.
