About the role

We are now looking for an experienced accountant who reports to the Financial Controller and becomes an important part of our team, which consists of controllers, accountants, economic administrators, payroll administrators, and a receptionist. Together, we are responsible for financial management and follow-up, as well as support for several companies.

The role is broad and operational, with clear responsibility for ensuring correct, efficient, and legal accounting. You work closely with both the operations and the controllers, contributing to creating quality in decision support and reporting.

In this role, you are responsible for parts of or the entire accounting flow for several companies. You work both independently and in close collaboration with your colleagues.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Ongoing bookkeeping, registration of incoming and outgoing payments
• Fixed asset register
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Support for internal economic reporting monthly, quarterly, and annually
• VAT reconciliations and VAT returns
• Participation in year-end closing, audit, and contact with auditors
• Internal control and quality assurance of accounting
• Contribute to the development of routines, systems, and working methods

The role involves business-adjacent support where you assist the organization with financial matters and contribute to improvements in processes and working methods. We work in a tight-knit team and help each other where needed.

Our expectations of you

We are looking for you who are an experienced accountant and thrive in a role where you can combine structure and precision with analysis and development.

You have an academic education in economics or have acquired equivalent competence through professional experience. You have worked practically with accounting for several years, where you are confident in the entire ongoing flow – from bookkeeping and reconciliations to reporting. You have good knowledge of VAT and tax returns. You are a proficient user and possess technical knowledge of business-related IT systems and are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

As a person, you are structured and precise, with a natural sense of quality in what you do. You are self-motivated and take responsibility for driving your work forward, while also having an analytical and solution-oriented approach when facing complex issues. You are curious and want to understand contexts, and you see the value in developing working methods and contributing to improvements over time.

You thrive in an organization where people work together and share responsibility, and where it is natural to support each other. Experience from a group structure is advantageous, but we value above all your practical experience and your ability to create structure, quality, and momentum in the accounting work.

The employment

The role is part of our administrative team and reports to the Financial Controller. The location is Leksand, with the possibility of working partially at other Skoglunds offices. The position is a permanent full-time employment. Start date is by agreement.
