Citizen Services
As a Municipal Guide, you belong to the Citizen Services department and will work in the municipality's switchboard, handling incoming phone calls from citizens, business owners, and internal employees. You provide guidance, answer simpler questions, and forward calls to the right person or department within the municipality. The work takes place on-site at the town hall in Smedjebacken. Since the need is driven by short-term absences, it means that as a temporary hourly employee, you must be available to start work with short notice.
Job Responsibilities
As a Municipal Guide, you work with providing guidance, answering questions, and giving information about the municipality's activities to citizens and employees within Smedjebacken Municipality. You work with a holistic view, focusing on providing the best reception and service in every contact. The phone, email, and our website are your primary work tools.
Main responsibilities:
- Receive, answer, and forward incoming phone calls via our switchboard system.
- Provide service and information in a clear and friendly manner.
- Handle administrative tasks related to the switchboard function.
Qualifications
- Completed upper secondary education (high school).
- Good computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- You express yourself very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and can handle calls in English.
- Previous experience working in a telephone switchboard, customer service, or other service role is highly meritorious.
