Urban Planner for Malung-Sälen Municipality
Do you want to help develop one of Sweden's most expansive tourist municipalities?
Malung-Sälen Municipality is now seeking an Urban Planner for the Municipal Executive Board Administration.
Here, you will have the opportunity to drive development in a mountain municipality where collaboration and optimism for the future are in focus. Malung-Sälen is an expanding mountain municipality with strong growth in both the tourism industry and housing development. Here, you combine a meaningful societal mission with proximity to the mountains, nature, and outdoor life. We also offer a range of benefits for employees, such as wellness allowances, opportunities for competence development, and favorable pension solutions.
For several years, Malung-Sälen Municipality has worked in collaboration with, among others, local businesses on issues regarding sustainable mobility. In the spring, the municipality was granted support for several different projects within the mobility sector, which the municipality will drive itself and participate in alongside other key actors, parallel to regular operations in the urban planning and infrastructure areas.
Welcome to a workplace where we make a difference together – with respect, care, and security in focus.

The goal of the project is to lay the foundation for more sustainable passenger and freight transport across the national border, strengthen mobility, improve crisis preparedness, and increase the regional competitiveness of the border region. The project will produce a joint Norwegian-Swedish decision-making basis where transport needs, climate effects, and technical solutions are analyzed.
- Project Staff Member in various sub-projects within the Shift Sweden/Formas Lab Sälenfjällen project, which the municipality has been granted in collaboration with Dalarna University. The project runs for five years.
