About the OperationsThe overarching mandate of the Culture and Education Committee (KBN) is to conduct a broad, accessible, and high-quality culture and education activity throughout Dalarna. We operate within a complex network of collaboration partners - internally and externally, locally, regionally, and nationally. Through dialogue and cooperation, we develop activities that strengthen the county's cultural and educational life.
We are looking for a strategist who wants to contribute to developing and strengthening the role of culture for children, young people, and the elderly throughout the region. The position involves strategic and coordinating work within the culture and education sector, with a focus on participation, accessibility, and sustainable regional development.
You will become part of one of three strategists within the Promotion and Strategy unit, where you will jointly drive development issues, exchange experiences, and contribute different competencies. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues, the administrative director, other managers, and operations within the administration. In this role, you will work on developing, coordinating, and monitoring regional initiatives within children's and youth culture as well as culture for the elderly, in accordance with the region's culture and education plan. The assignment aims to create equal opportunities to participate in and engage with culture, regardless of where in the region one lives or is in life, as well as to develop the role of culture in a health-promoting and inclusive society.
You will work in a changing context where needs and conditions develop over time, which may also affect the content of the assignment. The work implies freedom to plan and implement measures within your area of responsibility.
The position requires physical presence at the workplace in Falun; remote work agreements are not applicable. The assignment covers all of Dalarna and involves travel both within and outside the county.
Interviews are planned to take place on August 18, as well as September 2 and 3.
Job ResponsibilitiesIn the role of strategist, you will among other things:
- Work for an equal and accessible cultural activity for children, young people, and the elderly throughout the region, with a focus on participation, influence, and opportunities for own creation.
- Develop and coordinate regional cultural offerings, networks, and initiatives for priority target groups, for example within Creative School and municipal music schools.
- Initiate and drive the development of culture for the elderly in Dalarna by strengthening cooperation, developing working methods, and creating sustainable regional structures for the area.
- Create and develop sustainable cooperation structures between municipalities, cultural actors, and other regional operations.
- Conduct environmental scanning, identify development needs, and translate policy documents and development work into practical operations.
- Monitor, evaluate, and develop the work within the operational area through analyses, reporting, and decision support.
- Process cases, participate in political preparations, and present cases if necessary.
- Promote cooperation between culture, education, public health, and other societal areas.
Requirements:
- academic education with a relevant focus,
- experience in working with strategic development issues,
- experience in process facilitation and cooperation work,
- experience in leading others in leadership positions,
- good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish,
- Class B driver's license.

You have a listening and inclusive approach to work and a good ability to build relationships and create trust in meetings with different actors.
You are accustomed to working with cooperation as a method and thrive in a role with many contact surfaces. You work systematically with planning, implementation, and follow-up. You have good analytical skills and can translate ideas and strategies into practical implementation.
