We are now looking for a Development Manager for a fixed-term employment of two years to serve as the Social Services Board's representative in various collaboration forums. The work involves both participating in and leading various groups, processes, and projects. Is that you?

You will be part of the Social Services Board's support staff, led by the Administrative Director, who will also be your manager. The Board has two operational managers: one for care and welfare, and one for authority and support. There is a support staff with supportive functions that contribute to structure and quality assurance in the operations.

Job Description

The position aims to strengthen the organization's capacity to meet the ongoing pace of development.

As a Development Manager, you are responsible for coordinating, developing, and driving the Social Services Board's strategic and operational work within social sustainability, preventive measures, and collaboration.

The role is to create structure, coordination, and implementation strength in assignments involving multiple operations and also external actors such as the Region, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Public Employment Service, and Finsam.

You will also collaborate with partners within "Home First" (Hemma först), which is a four-year transformation initiative to strengthen social services and implement new ways of working.

You will be the Social Services Board's representative in development areas such as:

  • School social teams
  • SSPF work (Collaboration against sexualized abuse and violence against children)
  • Family Center collaboration forms
  • Crime prevention work
  • Mental health and suicide prevention
  • Collaboration between social services, schools, police, region, and civil society
  • Process leadership within system leadership and social sustainability
  • Environmental scanning, project development, and state grant-funded initiatives
  • Preparation and reporting to management and steering groups

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • At least 180 higher education credits in relevant areas. You should have several years of experience from social services or related public operations.
  • Experience of collaboration between several organizations and authorities.
  • Experience in leading change or development work and experience in project management or process leadership.
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and a good command of the Swedish language.
  • Driver's license B.

Meritorious:

  • Experience with SSPF, crime prevention work, family centers, or school social teams.
  • Experience with state grants, follow-up, and reporting.
  • Experience in leading others.
  • Knowledge of social sustainability, mental health, and preventive work.

As a person, you have very good collaboration skills and are self-initiating and proactive. You have high implementation ability and get things done. You have the ability to work both strategically and operationally, and are structured and analytical. Furthermore, you have a good ability to build trust and relationships. You are confident in leading processes without formal managerial authority and have a genuine interest in social sustainability and development work. You have a solid commitment to networking both within and outside your own organization.

We see that the one who succeeds in the role is the one who will ensure that initiatives lead to concrete benefits for residents and operations. You create clear structures for collaboration and hold together several parallel development processes. You translate ideas into practical operational development.

Fixed-term project employment for two years, financed via state grants.
