Description

The Social Services Department is a workplace with engaged managers and employees with good atmosphere and cohesion. We are keen on our employees being happy. The Unit for Social Support and Interventions is now looking for a case worker since the permanent employee has found a job in their home municipality.

The unit is organized under the social services department, which is the municipality's largest department, and the unit is responsible for investigating, assessing, deciding on, and following up on interventions for the elderly and for children, young people, and adults with physical or mental disabilities. The unit is led by an operational manager, and you will receive regular supervision and support together with the team.

Social support and interventions work to ensure legal security and participation. The department consists of a team of 10 employees together with the social services department's fee handlers.

Job Description

Your task as a case worker will be to investigate, assess, and make decisions on interventions, as well as follow up on and review approved interventions based on current legislation. The work involves close dialogue with the persons seeking interventions as well as their relatives. In addition, collaborating with other actors both within the department and with external actors such as inpatient and outpatient care, schools, and other authorities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or other higher education that the employer considers equivalent. Special emphasis is placed on personal qualities, and it is important that you are analytical, solution-focused, and have a positive attitude. The position requires good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, as well as the ability to establish good contacts with both customers and collaboration partners.

Working as a case worker in social support and interventions is a varied and developing job that offers great opportunities for flexibility. It is important that you are independent and prepared for a varied and challenging job that requires the ability to reprioritize based on incoming tasks. You are self-initiating and have the ability to adapt to new work environments. You need to have an interest in administration, documentation, and have good digital competence.
