Your responsibilities

As an employment consultant, you work closely with people who need support to approach the labor market. Through individual conversations, competence mapping, group activities, and motivational efforts, you create conditions for each individual's progression towards work or education. You collaborate with employers to find suitable trial work placements and contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for each participant's needs.

You document and compile materials for commissioning authorities and have continuous contact with actors such as Social Services, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and civil society. The work often takes place in teams, but also requires a high degree of personal responsibility, the ability to work independently, and to take initiative. The position involves a holistic perspective where the individual's strengths and challenges are weighed into the work towards increased self-sufficiency and participation in society.

This is a permanent full-time position where a probationary period of 6 months may apply. The responsible manager for the position is the Unit Manager for the Employment Unit. You work for both Leksand and Rättvik municipalities in this role.

Your profile

Requirements:

  • You have a relevant higher education, for example occupational therapist, social worker, or behavioral scientist, or alternatively education/experience that the employer deems relevant for the assignment.
  • Experience of working with people in need of support related to working life, rehabilitation, or establishment.
  • Good knowledge of the local labor market and the conditions of working life.
  • Good ability to document and compile written materials.
  • Confident in the role as a guide both in individual conversations and in groups.
  • The assignment involves travel in the service, e.g., company visits, which requires a B driver's license.

Merits:

  • Experience of working with people with NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), mental illness, substance abuse issues, or criminal background.
  • Experience from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Public Employment Service, or civil society.
