About the job
You will work with cases concerning the disclosure of public documents and qualified handling of excise duties within the energy sector. This involves reviewing, investigating, and deciding on taxation and reimbursement of our excise duties. Some tasks may include assessing corporate financial status. You will also be the face of the Swedish Tax Agency by answering questions about excise duties, primarily from businesses, via phone and email. Travel may be required as part of the role.
You plan your own workday and handle your cases both independently and in collaboration with others. We work in teams, and you work closely with your colleagues, providing and receiving support from one another. The excise duties area is complex and challenging, with regular legislative changes. It suits you if you want a varied role and are stimulated by gathering information. You have flexible working hours, and it is a given for us that you maintain a balance between work and leisure.
You belong to a section within the Corporate Tax Department, with placement in Ludvika or Örebro. At the unit, we currently have 200 colleagues. Excise duty handlers are located in four sections in Ludvika, Örebro, Gothenburg, Sundbyberg, and Malmö.
About you

You must also have:
- a university education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits in the old system) in economics or law
It is desirable that you have current and relevant work experience in case-handling tasks within a government agency, consultancy, insurance company, or bank. It is also desirable that you have current experience of similar tasks at the Swedish Tax Agency.
Good to know
The employment is fixed-term until December 30, 2026.
A position with us may involve security clearance. A security investigation with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our security-classified tasks, Swedish citizenship is required.
