About the DepartmentDo you want to contribute to safer care? We are now recruiting staff for our department. Here, you will work strategically, with a development-oriented approach, and close to healthcare, with a clear focus on improved patient safety throughout the region.
The Patient Safety Department has a county-wide mandate to develop and drive patient safety work. Through collaboration, we offer support, structure, guidance, and inspiration to healthcare operations - all with the goal of creating a safe and secure care environment for the patient.
We support the line organization on behalf of the Director of Health and Medical Care, divisional management, and other actors such as IVO, the National Board of Health and Welfare, and the knowledge management organization. Collaboration also takes place with other safety areas, e.g., Infection Control, Medical Technology, and the Patient Ombudsman. We work closely with the health and medical care management and chief physicians on matters concerning the overall patient safety work in health and medical care.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Development Manager, you work with systematic patient safety work at a cross-healthcare level. This includes, among other things:
- supporting operations in patient safety issues and risk-preventive working methods
- conducting and providing support in risk and incident analyses as well as investigations of patient harm
- conducting training and spreading knowledge through environmental scanning
- holding dialogues with operations and supporting follow-up regarding patient safety issues
- participating in the regional synergy management. You work continuously in the Synergi system, contribute to its development, and support operations in its use
- carrying out assignments mandated by other authorities such as the National Board of Health and Welfare, IVO, and SKR
Requirements:
- Registered nurse, physiotherapist, or other university/college education
- Knowledge and experience of patient safety work at the department or clinic level
- Category B driver's license
Meritorious:
- Experience in conducting investigations of patient harm/incident analyses
- Experience in conducting risk analyses
- Experience in planning and conducting training
- Good system knowledge of Synergi and experience in developing working methods and data output in the system

You are analytical, pedagogical, and have good collaboration skills. You thrive in a supportive role, enjoy working in a structured manner, and have a strong drive to contribute to the development of care. You are receptive and have the ability to adapt support measures to the specific needs of the target group.
