The Environmental and Urban Planning Administration works to create a sustainable, attractive, and well-functioning society for the residents of Falun. The administration's operations touch upon many aspects of daily life – from urban development, building permits, and land issues to streets, traffic, and citizen services.
We are now looking for a Business Developer specializing in Information Management to join our support function. You will become part of a group with broad competence in areas such as business development, economics, project management, registry, and board administration. The group is characterized by a good working climate where employees support each other, share knowledge, and take significant individual responsibility for their assignments.
Here, you will have a key role in developing and ensuring the quality of the administration's information management, data protection, and information security. The role offers many contact surfaces and the opportunity to contribute both operationally and strategically in a continuously developing operation.
Responsibilities
As a Business Developer specializing in Information Management, you are responsible for coordinating, developing, and supporting the administration's work within information management, data protection, and information security. You will serve as a qualified support to the operations and contribute to ensuring that information is handled in a legally secure, structured, and efficient manner.
In this role, you will among other things:
- Coordinate and develop work within data protection and GDPR
- Support operations in matters concerning information security and information management
- Ensure compliance with legislation, guidelines, and internal steering documents
- Develop methods and processes related to document and information management
- Support work with information management plans and archive issues
- Provide support in handling public documents and disclosure cases
- Train and guide employees within the area of responsibility
- Participate in and drive development and digitalization initiatives
- Collaborate with operations, support functions, and other actors within the municipality
Qualifications
Required for the role:
- Relevant university education or other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent
- Experience working in public operations and a good understanding of the regulations and conditions governing public administration
- Experience working with GDPR and data protection issues
- Knowledge of information security
- Knowledge of document and information management
- Knowledge of public access and confidentiality as well as handling of public documents
- Experience with case management systems, such as Platina or similar
- Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
Personal Attributes
To succeed in the role, you need to be structured and have the ability to create order and clarity in complex issues. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and drive your work forward in a goal-oriented manner.
You have an analytical approach and can identify needs, see connections, and find solutions that work in the operations. At the same time, you have good communication skills and can explain regulations and methods in a pedagogical way to different target groups.
Since the role involves many contact surfaces, it is important that you are collaborative, sensitive, and have an easy time building trusting relationships. You enjoy providing support and service to the operations while having the integrity and confidence to stand up for made decisions and existing regulations.
We also see that you have an interest in development issues and want to contribute to improving and developing methods within your area of responsibility.
Desirable Qualifications
It is desirable if you have:
- Experience in developing processes, routines, or methods
- Experience with board administration
- Education in information management, information security, or another relevant area
- Experience working with digitalization
- Experience in training or supporting operations within your area of responsibility
