Professionals Nord is currently recruiting on behalf of Infranord for a student employee within digital railway inspection. This is a consultancy assignment, meaning you will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant at Infranord. Responsibilities

You will be part of the measurement data team in Borlänge and work closely with a small team responsible for the digital inspection of railways. The group works with advanced camera technology that films the railway from trains and collects large amounts of image data, which is then analyzed to identify cracks and other deviations in the rails. 

The role is both administrative and technical, suiting you who thrive working in a structured and analytical manner in an environment where people help each other and develop together. You will work closely with the team and gradually take on more responsibility as you become integrated into the operations. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Check and quality-assure image and measurement data
• Ensure quality of images and GPS positioning
• Identify deviations and errors in the material
• Administer and process large amounts of data
• Troubleshoot and support in technical matters

• Deliver information to the customer and the Swedish Transport Administration

We are looking for you who:

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in technology, IT, and data management. Perhaps you are studying to become an engineer, systems scientist, or in another technical field, or you have gained experience in other ways. The most important thing is that you are curious, want to develop, and find it easy to adapt to new technical environments.

It is an advantage if you have an understanding of railways, track environments, or rail technology. If you also have experience working structuredly with data or technology, we view this positively.

SCOPE: Part-time, approx. 50% with possibility of full-time in the future
