Together with knowledgeable colleagues, you work with all aspects related to domestic violence. From this holistic perspective, we constantly develop our methods and approaches to support this important target group. Our goal is that everyone who seeks our help, after the intervention has ended, should be able to live an independent life free from violence. We are incredibly proud of our work and how we have built our unit with a cutting-edge approach.

Your responsibilities

As a social secretary, you are skilled at building good relationships and collaborating with the operations within and outside the city that are needed for your assignment, such as outpatient care, the Police, and the Tax Agency. No day is like the other, which you thrive in, and you see solutions in unforeseen events. You are good at prioritizing and adapting your workday to whatever arises. In the team, you work closely together, and you receive support and guidance from your team leader in cases, as well as in other matters and decisions. You look after your client's interests, investigate, and follow up. In this role, your focus is on both the person who has been exposed to violence and the person who has committed violence.

Your qualifications

For you, empathy comes naturally, and your strength is your approach, which inspires trust. It is also important that you have good judgment, can talk about difficult things, and act based on decisions made.

You are educated as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or have another relevant degree. You have good knowledge of social services legislation and have a strong commitment to social work. Since travel is part of the job, you need a valid B-driver's license. It is important that you have a very good ability to read and understand official texts and that you can formulate and express yourself in a correct and understandable way. If you have experience working within social services or have worked with the target group, we see this as an advantage. It is also a plus if you have further educated yourself and studied, for example, SARA and/or PATRIARK.

Other information

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a registration certificate together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
