Unit Description

At our workplace, we work according to clear common goals. The overarching goal is to create good living conditions at the residence where we start from each person's implementation plan and work to create a meaningful, safe, and predictable everyday life.

We work based on keywords such as respect, integrity, safety, and responsiveness. The residential unit is located centrally in Vårby Center with proximity to the subway and other transport.

About the Work

At the unit, there is an experienced work group that has the user's needs at the center. The unit has clear quality goals and is characterized by job satisfaction. Here, residential support workers/support assistants and supervisors work. The role implies that you need to be able to support and supervise your colleagues at the workplace in the pedagogical work. You should be able to introduce, explain, and clarify pedagogical methods. Being able to collaborate with all employees at the workplace is important; everyone contributes to the unit's good results.

We offer our users individually adapted support. You need to understand how the individual implementation plans and method sheets are helpful in daily work. The work is planned, documented, and followed up carefully. For you as a support pedagogue, it should be obvious to design the support based on the user's own will and needs and to work towards increased influence for users in the operation. It is important that you understand the value of a helping professional relationship based on respect for the individual's self-determination and integrity. You are expected to be a positive force and have your own experience and ideas about working in a group home, as well as being able to listen to ideas from the work group. The unit needs to continue to develop in line with digital development.

The position is full-time. You are scheduled at the unit, and the position involves day, evening, and every other weekend work. As support in your work, you will regularly meet the disability area's method developer together with other support pedagogues.

Your Profile

For the right person, we offer an exciting assignment to continue developing the operation into a high-quality operation together with users and colleagues. We are looking for a positive and engaged support pedagogue with relevant education for the target group. You should have at least 60 university credits or 200 university college credits in areas such as support pedagogue or specialist assistant nurse within neuropsychiatry/mental illness or similar. We are specifically looking for you with knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities.

You have current knowledge about the target group in group homes and knowledge about low-affective handling, IBIC, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). You have experience of your own work with persons who have challenging behavior. It is particularly important that you have the ability to support staff in preventing situations where challenging behavior occurs.

You should have a pedagogical and motivating approach, have the ability to create good relationships, and be easy to share your knowledge with, as well as being a support to colleagues. We see clarifying pedagogy as a means to increase safety for the user. We therefore require good knowledge of, for example, social stories, comic strip conversations, mapping, and cognitive aids. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. You master Swedish well in both speech and writing and have good computer skills.
