About the school

Långängskolan is Hallsberg Municipality's largest F–6 school with approximately 440 students. Our leisure center is divided into three sections (F, 1–2, and 3–6), which, thanks to its size, offers fantastic opportunities for collegial collaboration, creative solutions, and exciting projects.

The school is beautifully located on the outskirts of Hallsberg's urban area, close to swimming, the library, sports fields, and nature. Our large, varied schoolyard was completely renovated in 2022 and today offers fine areas with wooded groves, play structures, and sports fields that invite play and movement.

Our focus forward

We are in the middle of an exciting development journey! We focus particularly on developing teaching in the leisure center based on the curriculum's goals. Together, we are building common structures – both for daily operations and through a clear annual calendar for themes and holiday activities. We also strive for a strong, mutual collaboration with the school where we, based on clear roles, work towards common goals for the benefit of the student.

Job responsibilities

As a leisure center teacher, you have an overall responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating the activity together with your colleagues.

• Collaboration & School Day: You collaborate closely with class teachers in the group or class you are connected to during school hours, as well as in the work team with other leisure staff and resources.
• Inclusion: You work actively for an inclusive school environment where the student's best interest is always at the center.

Qualifications

You have a strong commitment to developing the leisure center's operations and drive systematic quality work based on the assignment. In your pedagogical work, student participation and responsibility are a natural and central part. You create clear structures and routines that contribute to security and stability, while working creatively and innovatively.

You have an interest in initiating and leading developmental projects, for example within physical activity and health, social interaction, or aesthetic forms of expression. As a person, you are a secure and present educator who serves as a good role model. You meet students, guardians, colleagues, and management with professionalism and respect.

You enjoy collaborating with others and see collegial learning as a natural and important part of developing both yourself and the activity. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach in the leisure center, or alternatively, a qualifying degree that entitles you to certification.
