Join the development of the Swedish Armed Forces and make a difference – while doing what you are interested in!
We are looking for you who want to work with the whole picture – from requirement specification together with the business operations to integration and system development, and further to implementation together with the operations organization.
Here you have the chance to develop and gain broad IT experience with a focus on system integration.
About the Unit
The System Administration Unit, SFE, administers the Swedish Armed Forces' IT systems for information management. The systems administered by the unit cover areas such as HR, finance, management and control, logistics, staff support systems, supervision, and integrations.
About the Section
The System Integration Section is responsible for the administration and development of the Swedish Armed Forces' integration platforms. The section handles the entire chain from solution proposals to development and implementation. We are also responsible for second and third-line support for the solution. We are currently planning to replace our integration platforms with a new solution.
Main Responsibilities
The work as an Integration Specialist within the System Integration Section involves technical administration and development of the Swedish Armed Forces' integration platforms by working through the entire chain, from requirement specification and integration to implementation. You will work independently but as part of a team, ensuring you have help and support from your colleagues.
Main tasks include developing and administering the integrations and system-to-system communications that the section is responsible for through troubleshooting, modification, installation, and implementation. You will work on both developing new integrations and improving existing solutions, ensuring they function efficiently and sustainably throughout their lifecycle. The role also includes second and third-line user support, documentation, and continuous environmental scanning to identify new opportunities and ensure the systems continue to meet the business's needs.
To succeed in the role, you need to have an open attitude, a high service level, a willingness to collaborate even outside the section, and a strong interest in problem-solving. You must naturally be curious and not afraid to dive into new technologies. Furthermore, you need the ability to see opportunities for improvements based on the business's goal picture and contribute to driving these. Due to security requirements, the work is performed on-site at our premises in Enköping; business travel may occur.
As an Integration Specialist, you have great opportunities for professional development through courses and training to continuously grow in the role.
About the Future
The System Integration Section is facing an exciting change journey where a large part of the technical platform will be replaced. This gives you a unique opportunity to contribute to and influence the development together in a team with large and broad competence.
Qualifications
- An academic degree in systems science, IT, or similar, which the employer deems relevant for the position, or equivalent as deemed by the employer. Alternatively, several years of working life experience deemed equivalent by the employer.

- Good knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language, e.g., Java or C#.
- Willingness and ability to learn new technical areas with a high degree of independence.
- Good ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish.
- Good ability to communicate and comprehend information in English.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
Personal Qualities
You are quality- and security-conscious. Naturally, you are meticulous and deliver high quality in your work. The role involves collaborating both within and outside your own unit, so it is important that you are unpretentious, have a good ability to create collaborations, and take initiative. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

- Experience in operations, maintenance, and administration of complex IT and server environments, preferably in a government agency or larger organization.
