Our Operations

IT at the Swedish Medical Products Agency consists of the Digitalization Unit and the Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and User Support Unit (CIA). The Digitalization Unit is growing, and we are looking for more colleagues who want to be part of developing our digital solutions. The unit currently consists of approximately 85 engaged employees who, together with the CIA unit, take a holistic approach to the agency's digitalization.

We work closely with the operations and deliver accessible, stable, and secure IT support that provides tangible benefits. We have a relatively large portion of in-house development, and our teams continuously develop both working methods, technology, and tools with a focus on quality, collaboration, and learning.

We are now looking for an IT Project Manager for placement in the administration organization. The IT Project Manager, together with the operations and the teams in the digitalization unit, will develop and manage the next generation of systems and applications at the Swedish Medical Products Agency.

Your Responsibilities

As an IT Project Manager in an administration object, you collaborate with the administration manager in the operations and plan and implement goals for IT support at an operational level. This could, for example, be IT support for the management and administration of registers for Pharmacies, Over-the-Counter Retail, and Wholesalers, as well as the information flow surrounding these.

The work includes monitoring administration activities, SLAs, and costs, risk analyses, and risk-reducing measures, as well as collaborating with other administration objects regarding integration solutions, system maintenance, and operations. An important task is also to provide conditions for and continuously improve collaboration and communication within and between teams and with the operations. Another is to facilitate work in the borderland between administration, projects, and agile teams. This could involve building team spirit, communicating a common goal, and detailing plans in sub-deliverables and sprint goals together with the teams. As an IT Project Manager, you also lead investigations, preliminary studies, and other smaller projects.

Your Background

• You have a university education in computer science, systems science, or equivalent.
• You have several years of relevant experience as an IT Administration Manager or Technical Project Manager and have good competence in administration and/or project leadership.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• It is meritorious if you can also prove your leadership competence with relevant education.
• It is meritorious if you have a good understanding of system development and have worked in or several development roles such as requirements analyst, architect, developer, test manager, etc.
• Experience from the public sector and/or the healthcare sector is also meritorious.

You are a natural leader with good ability to collaborate and communicate. You build relevant relationships quickly and take independent responsibility for driving the work forward, while involving the right people when necessary.

You are non-hierarchical and solution-oriented. You easily see the big picture, connections, and dependencies. You handle issues from different perspectives and have a drive to solve tasks together with other people.
