The Management Office of Region Uppsala is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. The Management Office is led by the Regional Director and comprises approximately one thousand employees. With a governing, supporting, and coordinating role, the Management Office is tasked with supporting the political leadership and administrations to ensure that political guidelines are implemented across the region's various operations. Our Operations

Region Uppsala is responsible for socially vital functions and continuously develops its economic processes and system support. Within the finance and procurement area, we work to ensure efficient, quality-assured, and digital workflows.

You will become part of a team consisting of seven object specialists and a project manager with broad expertise in finance and systems. The group works closely with the operations and shares responsibility for managing and developing the region's finance-related systems.

Your Role

As an Object Specialist, you will manage and further develop Region Uppsala's finance and procurement system (Unit4) as well as the system for investment applications.

Your task is to ensure stable operations while contributing to the development and improvement of systems and working methods. The role combines ongoing maintenance work with development initiatives.

Examples of tasks:

• Ongoing monitoring, supervision, and ensuring system functionality
• Case management and support to operations
• Participation in testing, implementation, and upgrades
• Requirements gathering and analysis in dialogue with operations
• Development, configuration, and improvement measures
• Work with integrations, digital flows, and technical adjustments
• Dialogue with suppliers and other stakeholders
• Ensuring quality, traceability, and internal control
• System administration according to pm3

The emphasis of the role between operations and development can be adapted based on your competence.

Your Qualifications

Requirements:

• Experience working with Unit4 in finance and/or procurement
• Good knowledge of accounting and financial processes
• Experience in system administration or other IT-adjacent roles
• Ability to translate operational needs into system support

Merits:

• Experience with configuration or development-related work in business systems
• Knowledge of programming, scripts, or integrations
• Experience with e-commerce in business systems (e.g., procurement flows, supplier integrations)
• Experience with APIs or integration platforms
• Experience from public sector operations
• Experience with testing and requirements work

Your Competence

You are structured, responsible, and have good collaboration skills. You thrive in a role that combines routine work with development and improvement.

You are able to work close to operations and can also take on more technically oriented tasks when needed.
