We are looking for you who want to work as a Network Engineer with both laboratory and field work.

About the role

We are now looking for several network engineers who want to be part of building a new business area focused on total deliveries within communication and networking. You will become part of a team of approximately 15 people where you together are responsible for ensuring that critical systems function in real-world environments.

In the role, you work with designing, configuring, and troubleshooting network solutions that enable stable communication between different systems and platforms. The systems are used to create a common situational awareness in real-time, enable command in the field, and ensure information sharing between units. You work both in a lab environment and out in the field with the customer, where the systems are used operationally.

Examples of tasks:

• Installation, configuration, and operation of networks in complex IT and communication environments
• Troubleshooting in networks, transmission, and system integration (LAN/WAN, radio, IP-based communication)
• Integration of networks with radio and command systems
• Building and maintaining test and reference environments
• Commissioning of systems in Windows and Linux environments
• Automation of configurations via scripts (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Support to the customer during exercises and operational activities
• Documentation and technical feedback to the development team

Your profile

Requirements for the position:

• A few years of work experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Networking (prior knowledge in system architecture, routing, transmission, data centers, building data networks)
• Programming, worked with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Bat, PowerShell), applied configurations that should work in Windows/Linux environments
• Radio and communication systems
• Post-secondary technical degree (university, college, vocational, military) in Computer Science/Networking/Technical Physics/Equivalent
• Swedish and English in speech and writing
• Opportunity to travel for work occasionally
• Category B driver's license

The assignment is classified. Prior to employment, you must undergo a security clearance check and be approved according to current security regulations. This may entail requirements for certain citizenship.

Merits for the position:

• Technical background from the Swedish Armed Forces (Leading role/Ground Warfare School/Technician)
• Knowledge of command support systems towards the defense industry
