Do you want to make a positive difference in people's lives? We are now looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant in Karlstad and the surrounding area.

Summer is approaching, and at Kura Omsorg, we are looking for dedicated summer substitutes for several of our clients. Our clients have varying needs and are looking for personal assistants who can provide support and create security when regular staff is on vacation.

If you have the opportunity to start earlier as an hourly substitute, or wish to continue working as an hourly substitute after the summer, we see this as a big plus.

Working hours may occur during all hours of the day, weekdays as well as weekends. Both employment degree and the length of the assignment may vary. Start date is by agreement.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

As a personal assistant, you help our clients around Karlstad with their daily routines, personal care, and activities. You are an important part of their daily life, and your work contributes to them being able to live an independent and active life. All our clients are different, with varying needs and wishes.

Tasks that may occur:

• Daily routines and household chores
• Personal hygiene, dressing and undressing
• Mobility and transfers
• Support during meal situations
• Accompanying during activities and excursions

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Are interested in working as a summer substitute.
• Are sensitive and have a genuine interest in working with people.
• Have the ability to work independently and take personal responsibility.
• Have experience in personal assistance (meritorious but not a requirement).

The positions are mainly located in Karlstad and the surrounding area, but assignments in nearby areas may also become relevant. Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with collective agreements.

For employment with us at Kura Omsorg, you need to have a BankID and approve using your BankID in the service. A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you, as the applicant, can present a valid ID document and submit a certificate of personal registration (personbevis) as well as any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the certificate of personal registration from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be 18 years old to work as a personal assistant.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record register. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record register and extracts from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing time may vary, so the order should be made well in advance.

We recommend that you ensure you have current extracts in accordance with current legislation and the new rules that came into force on March 1, 2026.
