DUTIES

As a vocational teacher with us, part of the role involves teaching on our combined programs within restaurant and food services as well as hotel and tourism, located at Gekås in Ullared, in close collaboration with SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) teachers during the spring when the education takes place. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching within both theoretical and practical parts of the education, including APL (Workplace-based Learning).

The position also involves teaching in areas such as digital competence for adult education students as well as participants within the employment unit, so that students/participants can move closer to self-sufficiency. This can take place in both adult education and employment unit premises.

You will also have a proactive responsibility towards the industry to create relevant and in-demand vocational education. This can be both within restaurant and food services as well as hotel and tourism, but also in other industries based on the individual's and the labor market's needs. You will also be responsible for proactive activities to recruit students and fill educational places.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have worked for a few years as a vocational teacher within Restaurant and Food/Hotel and Tourism and are confident in your professional role. You are a licensed vocational teacher.

You must have documented work experience from municipal adult education and thus have experience and knowledge in working with adult learning. You enjoy working with adults.

Your subject knowledge is very good. You have an interest in developing teaching that includes everyone and is rooted in current scientific theories. With your pedagogical skill, you explain content and contexts clearly, adapted to different individuals and perspectives.

You have an inclusive pedagogical approach and have high expectations. You are motivated by supporting others' learning and create good conditions for knowledge to develop so that our students make progress in their learning. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement in the classroom.

You thrive in teamwork and see the value in working together for the students' best interests. You can also work independently and take initiatives that benefit the operations.

Adult education is constantly developing, and it requires that you are positive, engaged, and flexible.
