At God Assistans, we are looking for an engaged and responsible personal assistant to support and facilitate daily life for Axel. Care is the foundation of everything we do and is essential to providing the best possible personal assistance. We are currently seeking a passionate individual who wants to become a valuable part of our team.

As a personal assistant, you will work with Axel, a cheerful 14-year-old boy. He was born with a brain injury, which means he needs help with most aspects of life. He uses a wheelchair and communicates using image and text-to-speech programs on his iPad. He is an active boy; if you have experience with exercise, it is a plus, as training is a necessity in Axel's daily life.

We are looking for someone who wants to work part-time. You will receive a permanent part-time position with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts outside your fixed schedule.

A work shift involves, among other things:

• Helping with most aspects of daily life, including personal hygiene, interacting and communicating with his surroundings, and playing.
• Being active is important. We have many active leisure activities, and Axel requires significant physical training in his daily routine.
• Assisting with everyday tasks such as dressing and undressing.
• Swimming proficiency is mandatory (comfortable swimming with Axel yourself, even in deep water). Ice skating is a plus.
• Ensuring he has dinner by heating meals and assisting him at the dining table.
• Accompanying Axel to his activities such as horse riding, swimming, or frame running. Or simply playing games. He loves playing music (instruments).

As you can see, he is a very active boy, so it is important that you, as an applicant, enjoy coming up with things and can encourage activities.

We are looking for you who:

• Are over 18 years old.
• Speak fluent Swedish and have good communication skills.
• Are flexible.
• Are non-smoking.
• Are sensitive to needs and feelings.
• Experience with intellectual disabilities is a great advantage but not a requirement.
• Can swim.
• Are a secure person with good self-esteem.
• Are close to playfulness and want to fill his time with both security and laughter.

Working Hours

Weekdays (school with Axel): 07:00–16:00, evenings 16:00–21:00.
Weekends: 09:00–21:00, every other weekend.

The schedule slots we wish to staff are:

• Week 1: Friday evening 16:00–21:00, Saturday 09:00–21:00.
• Week 2: Friday evening 16:00–21:00.
• Week 3: Friday evening 16:00–21:00, Saturday 09:00–21:00.
• Week 4: Friday evening 16:00–21:00.

Possibility for a larger position.
