We are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant for a woman in her 50s who uses a wheelchair and has a combined visual and hearing impairment. She lives in Karlstad with her family. There are dogs in the home. As an assistant, you will become an important part of her daily life and contribute to creating conditions for participation and quality of life. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference by supporting her in living her life as independently and equally as possible.

The work includes everything from care, training, help with activities, etc. You who apply for the position are expected to have knowledge of sign language, at least equivalent to mastery of the manual alphabet. The workplace is in her home and wherever she is. Working hours are scheduled both during the day and in the evening, Monday-Sunday. We would appreciate it if you could also work with short notice when needed, e.g., due to illness, etc.

Since you will be part of a team of personal assistants selected for and by your specific user, it is important to have good work ethics where everyone supports each other and can work with short notice when needed, e.g., due to illness, etc.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We would appreciate it if you who apply for the position have a flexible and independent work style and can easily adapt to new situations. That you know sign language. You must be able to take responsibility as you work based on the individual's needs. You should have good competence in documentation and have a professional attitude. You who apply have a genuine interest and feeling for caring for people.

Other qualities that are good in the job are a good mood, calmness, patience, and that you are responsible. You must be able to speak fluent Swedish as this is a job where good communication is very important. It is a great merit if you have experience working in personal assistance.

Since we value our customers' safety and security, we have a routine of extracting extracts from the criminal record register for all persons employed by the company. This means that upon employment, we will request a certificate of good conduct from you before you can start working.
