Substitute Teacher for Vimarskolan Grades 7-9

The Child and Education Administration in Vimmerby Municipality is responsible for all pedagogical activities, from preschool to university level, and is also responsible for Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and civic orientation for newly arrived individuals. Our common goal is that the children and young people of Vimmerby Municipality should get the best conditions to meet the future and develop into creative, curious, and secure individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an engaged and flexible substitute teacher for Vimarskolan Grades 7-9. You are a good role model and follow the norms and values set by the compulsory school curriculum, contributing to carrying out and fulfilling the compulsory school's mission with high quality. Your task is to promote each student's learning and development, as well as to create the best conditions for students, guardians, and colleagues to thrive and feel secure in the school's operations.

Your tasks vary, but may include among other things:

  • Leading teaching - responsible for leading lessons based on the regular teacher's planning and instructions.
  • Supporting students - helping and guiding students in their schoolwork and development.
  • Creating a secure environment - contributing to a calm and positive climate in the classroom and at the school.

You have an employment at 80% at the school, and when there is no need for a substitute, you work in the school's resource center or where the school sees a need.

QUALIFICATIONS

We preferably see that you have experience of teaching in lower secondary school (grades 7-9).

As a person, you are secure and have a good ability to create motivation and engagement among students. You are receptive, open, and contribute to a positive collaborative climate where problems are solved constructively. You build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are responsible and can plan and structure your work yourself. At the same time, you are creative and are happy to contribute new ideas to develop the operations.

The position is subject to a background check. As an applicant, you must produce an extract from the police's criminal record register before employment takes place.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
