At IFO Barn och unga (Children and Young People), we work to create even better conditions for carrying out professional investigative work, always putting the best interests of children and young people at the center.

The Child and Youth Unit consists of over 20 employees who work with investigations and follow-up of interventions for children and young people aged 0–21, family law, and various forms of family therapy. We are currently looking for two investigators.

As an employee, you will have continuous support in cases from your nearest manager, Senior Social Secretary, and colleagues. In 2026, we will begin implementing the "Signs of Safety" framework.

We offer the possibility to work from home when feasible, depending on the assignment and the work group.

Responsibilities

The position involves investigating the situation of children and young people based on the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU). Continuous documentation is part of the role. The work may involve longer travel distances.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work and experience in social services. Experience in authority-based social work, preferably with children and young people, is preferred.

You have a strong commitment to the needs of children and young people and are confident in yourself and your professional competence. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work to fulfill your assignment within specified timeframes.

With humility and openness, you recognize the strengths of others and build good relationships with clients, colleagues, and our partners. Furthermore, you find it easy to use and learn new IT systems, and you must have a valid Category B driver's license to work with us.

Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment.

For this position, presenting a valid extract from the police criminal record is a requirement for employment.
