We are currently looking for two engaged teachers for Withalaskolan in Vetlanda for the autumn semester. Here, you will help create a safe and inspiring learning environment for our students.

Withalaskolan is located in the heart of Vetlanda, just a stone's throw from the city center and Stortorget. Around 700 students in grades 7–9 attend the school, and we are approximately 80 employees working together to create an environment where every student has the opportunity to become their best self.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for you who are qualified to teach the following subjects:

• Biology
• Physics
• Chemistry
• Mathematics

The scope of the positions and subject combinations can be adapted based on your teaching license. You specify which position(s) you are interested in.

Your role

At Withalaskolan, you will become part of an engaged teaching team where colleagues support, challenge, and share ideas with each other. You will be part of a working group where you together develop teaching and create a learning environment that gives every student the opportunity to grow. In addition to the working group, you will also collaborate with colleagues in subject meetings to develop teaching within your specific subject.

You plan and conduct teaching that gives students the prerequisites to both develop and reach their goals. By adapting teaching to each student's needs, you create a learning environment where everyone is given the opportunity to succeed. The role also includes documenting and following up on students' development, as well as maintaining close dialogue with both students and guardians.

We work from a relational perspective, where we see every student, strengthen their belief in their own abilities, and inspire lifelong learning. Equity is central – all students should have the same opportunity to succeed.

As a new teacher with us, you will receive a mentor, an experienced colleague who serves as a support and sounding board.

Your qualities

We are looking for you who are secure and stable and find it easy to collaborate, both with students and colleagues. You are receptive, communicative, and create engagement and participation in the classroom. With a positive attitude and a solution-oriented mindset, you see opportunities where others see obstacles.

Qualifications

• We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with the qualifications to teach biology, physics, chemistry, or mathematics in grades 7-9.
• Extract from the criminal record register (Swedish: belastningsregistret).
• We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
