About the position

Functional Support (Funktionsstöd) in Sunne Municipality is now looking for new employees for our Individual Support (Individstöd) operations. We are looking for you who want to work to make the residents' daily life understandable, meaningful, manageable, content-rich, and secure. In our operations, the residents play the main role in their own lives. We work based on methods such as clarifying pedagogy (tydliggörande pedagogik) and low-affective handling (lågaffektivt bemötande).

Your responsibilities

In the role of Habilitation Assistant (Habiliteringsassistent), your main responsibility is to support residents towards a more independent life based on their needs and interests. You act as a support in daily life regarding care, social issues, and health and medical contacts.

You are a person who sees opportunities, has a positive outlook, and a strong commitment to people. You will be part of a team where collaboration and responsibility are crucial. You should be able to create and maintain good relationships with relatives, guardians, day activities, and other networks.

You will work with the methods of clarifying pedagogy and low-affective handling. The assignment also includes a contact person role, documentation in Lifecare, and work according to customers' implementation plans.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who have a suitable completed and approved three-year upper secondary education in care and nursing, youth leader, treatment assistant, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You should have experience working within LSS (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and low-affective handling. Experience working with people with challenging behaviors is desirable.

You are computer literate and have experience with documentation. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is a requirement. We expect a professional and humble approach. You are positive, solution-focused, enjoy taking responsibility, and have experience with clarifying pedagogy/pedagogical working methods/AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. A valid B driver's license is a requirement.

Other information

Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts. Your main workplace will be one of our service apartments, but shifts at other units within Functional Support may occur.
