Job Description

As a Research Assistant, you will work as a co-investigator in the research project Agrilandscape. Your duties will include performing simulations and modeling of agrivoltaic systems integrated into landscapes, as well as contributing to achieving the project's goals and deliverables. You are expected to participate actively in project meetings and collaborate with other project members.

The work also involves supporting other ongoing research projects on agrivoltaics at MDU, particularly regarding the planning and implementation of field experiments during the summer of 2026. Duties further include contributing to report writing and scientific publications.

Teaching assignments may occur within the framework of the employment, based on the needs of the activity.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a PhD in Energy and Environmental Technology with a focus on spectrally selective solar cells.

You must have:

• documented work experience in agrivoltaic research,
• good competence in modeling light distribution in agrivoltaic systems,
• experience in planning and conducting field research within agrivoltaic systems,
• very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written,
• experience in simulation and modeling in Matlab and Python,
• experience in academic writing,
• good presentation skills and good teamwork skills.

Merits

It is meritorious if you have experience working with 3D modeling tools for analyzing light distribution, such as SketchUp and DL-Light.
