We are looking for an engaged and empathetic person to work with our 17-year-old son

Our son is a lively and curious young man with autism. He loves visiting the swimming pool, going to the trampoline park (jumpyard), and taking walks. We are looking for someone with experience working with autism who can help him explore new routines and activities in a safe and stimulating environment. Knowledge of low-arousal approaches (low-affective handling) is a plus. It is important that you can build a stable and trusting relationship with him to support him in his daily life.

Responsibilities

• Participate in various activities with the boy, such as visiting the swimming pool, trampoline park, taking walks, and exploring new environments.
• Provide active support in daily routines such as personal hygiene, meals, and play.
• Create a positive and safe atmosphere so that he feels comfortable and motivated.
• Be a present and reliable adult who can create safety and structure.
• Prevent risks in everyday life.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people and individuals with autism.
• Knowledge and experience of low-arousal approaches.
• Sign language skills are an advantage.
• Patient, empathetic, and understanding of individual needs.
• Enjoys outdoor activities and can serve as a positive role model.

Working Hours and Position

• The position is approximately 56%.
• Working hours: Weekday evenings 15:00–23:30.
• Every other weekend Saturday and Sunday 10:00–20:00.
• During the summer, there is an opportunity to work up to full-time.
